JOSE ALICEA

“Hospitality is simply an opportunity to show love and care.”

MANAGER
JOSE ALICEA

I’m Jose Alicea, 33 years old, born and raised in the Bronx, NY, to Puerto Rican and Cuban parents. Ever since I can remember, I have always been a people person, enthralled by providing excellent customer service after my introduction into the workforce with retail. It wasn’t until 2007 that I was introduced to the hospitality industry, where I began working for a Danny Meyer restaurant in the heart of NYC.

It was there that I recognized my passion for the hospitality industry and the thrill and warmth that came from hosting guests, getting to meet people from all walks of life, hearing their stories, and engaging in energy that would change me for the better. From then on, I knew the ultimate goal was to provide memorable experiences guests could carry on forever.

Within a year, I worked my way up to supervisory positions, in charge of training new staff, implementing new procedures and menus, and slowly becoming a leader that many could respect.

My hunger for knowledge and growth in the industry has led me to obtain valuable certifications and even branch out into the nightlife aspect, where I’ve been able to apply my skills on a bigger scale. My path has led me to my latest venture at Ventanas in New Jersey, where my experience continues to be challenged positively, and I cannot wait to see where this whole exciting journey leads me!
